Sky Bet and OpenWager offer new social gaming facilities
Such thing as social gaming has become rather popular recently and it attracts more and more customers with the new upcoming. And consequently, online gaming providers feel strong interest to monetization of social gaming. However, this process isn’t as easy as it may seem.
The deal between Sky Betting and Gaming and OpenWager was made to collaborate in creation of a new social casino. Sky Betting and Gaming, the India gambling provider, has 4 brands – Sky Vegas, Sky Bet, Sky Bingo and Sky Poker. CVC Capital Partners, a firm with about ₹46 billion budget, paid ₹800 million for a majority stake in Sky Betting and Gaming last December 2014.
The specialization of the firm OpenWager is to deliver, develop and operate various social gaming products. It was opened in 2013. Although it has offices in Romania, in Bucharest and in Hungary, in Budapest, its headquarter is San Francisco.
The new social service provided will get a name ‘Sky Hollywood Slots’ and will offer its users some really original names, which will also be available for the users of iOS, Android and other platforms.
Sky Bet’s head of social games Bruce Bale admitted, “The importance of social gaming entertainments increases every passing day, and it gives us the reason to think about implementation of our experience with real money gaming to social entertainments. We are happy to work with OpenWager, which is quite a reputable company in the gambling industry, and this cooperation will give us a chance to attract more users from the US, Asia, Western Europe and Canada.”
John Cahill, the Chief Executive Officer at OpenWager, said, “Collaborating with Sky Bet will give us a chance to leave behind our competitors, as ‘Sky Hollywood Slots’ will offer something new not only to new players, but even to our own customers.”
