Titan 360- a new giant in land-based casinos
Konami Australia’s Charles Seo in the interview with Stephanie Raquel from CalvinAyre.com tried to clarify why bigger is certainly better in connection with casino machines.
Bigger – related to the casino machines – is surely better.
The Konami Australia’s marketing and product manager Charles Seo explains that such fact as visual representation is very important while talking about offline gambling establishments. “It’s visual representation at the moment. Everything at the moment is about signages. It’s about LCD, lights, the music, the sound, the different games that people can play underneath it, so that draws the players in,” Seo explained.
The recent research held by scientists from Indian Columbia in Vancouver University, Canada, found out the ways gamblers are influenced by loud music and flashing lights. They received “some shocking results” in their study, when they introduced flashing lights and tone to the animal lab experiment. The scientists said that when they added up the cues, the animals’ behavior changed. A really big changed towards risky choice was clearly noticed.
Charles Seo supported the opinion of the researchers, commenting that gamblers are searching for the thrill in any game first of all, and it could be in a casino or somewhere else.
“It’s the excitement, really. That opportunity to win that big prize depending on your bet and also the different stages of the jackpots. You know, you can essentially win whatever bonus wins multiplied your bets, so for players I think that’s where the excitement comes from,” Charles Seo admitted. Realizing this, Konami made a further step with their new creation – a huge casino machine named the Titan 360 that unites both digital and mechanical elements.
“Essentially it’s there to amaze. I guess the floor presence, the size is what captivates people in the first place, plus the mechanical element. It’s not just the digital element, it’s mechanical. You see the balls rolling down and (the) new opportunities that players feel trying to get that ball into that different credit prizes or jackpot areas,” Charles Seo explained.
This giant – Titan 360 – has already been spread out in the US casinos, but the manufacturer hopes to widen their market to Asia as soon as possible.
“It’s approved in the U.S. at the moment and it’s performing very well. Again, we brought it here in Macau to get feedback from the Asian countries, with the players and the venues. I guess it’s a key step for us with Konami being a digital entertainment and also an amusement company, we’re trying to work with our gaming department and trying to create something together, unify our product,” he stated.
