CAP analyzed the impact made by the gambling ads
The new report published by the UK Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) was revealed. It concerned the influence of gaming adverts on teenagers and gamblers in general.
The review was a response to the inquiry of the Department of Culture, Media and Sports for UK on the effect of gambling on the people, on its promotion and gaming market in general.
The report proves that the influence of different kinds of gambling activities (like playing slots Incredible Hulk) is really not great. CAP is trying to follow the laws and regulations supporting existing content, which was done in favor of the UK customers. The review examined all the processes connected with gambling advertising and mediums involved.
This review was a result of the independent research appeared earlier this year. It was made by the ASA, which proved that all the complaints connected gambling adverts are true. CAP informed about their responsibility as to the proper place of such an ad in the society. They understand the people concerns but will continue to follow the policy of responsible advertising.
The review included:
- Making the proper rules for adverts.
- The participation of experts in creating the ads concentrating on the possible risks.
- The role of the regulators in creation the evidence base.
