Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. David started as an assistant professor before progressing to an associate professor. He has also been a tutor at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Mr. Schwartz taught various graduate and undergraduate courses, including hospitality, law, honors, the video games industry, social and economic impacts of casinos, conspiracy theories in history, creative nonfiction, and Liberal Arts at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Atlantic City Extension.

He has also headed the faculty for the annual strategic marketing course at City, University of London, offered by Cass Business School. He has contributed to 300+ conference presentations, guest lectures, and public talks.

Dr. Schwartz established a new oversight Ombuds office to expedite International Ombuds Association operations. He is involved in drafting and securing the approval of the charter, attending to individual visitors, facilitating or moderating group meetings, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of International Ombuds Association operations.

He is also in charge of meeting with university leadership and responsible personnel to discuss systemic issues and climate change.

Resource, programs, and services management to spearhead excellence in different avenues, including teaching and research. He also chaired faculty relations and ensured satisfaction, reviewed tenures and promotions, facilitated orientation programs, and ensured compliance and adoption of laws.

Researched, developed, and maintained the largest collection of gaming-related source documents and was in charge of recruiting and managing the center's international faculty program. He also created, developed, and published the UNLV Gaming Press.

Dr. Schwartz has a Ph.D. in American History as a graduate of the University of California. During his studies, his peers nicknamed him Dr. Dave, hence the branding on his social media profiles.
